Fun with Cousins!

Michelle and Allen came for a visit last Monday and Leah loved getting to play with her older cousins, Luke (3) and Anna (2) at Mc Donald's. I loved getting to hold my new 4 week old neice, Amber Joy! It was a very fun visit, and we all enjoyed using the jacuzzi at the hotel during their stay!

Our Helweg Family

It's so fun to be part of a big family!

Josh is the firstborn son, (second oldest) child of David & Susan Helweg of Warroad, MN. His older sister Michelle is married to Allen Butler, and they live in Warroad also. They have three adorable children, Luke, Anna and Amber. Josh's next siblings are; James, Michael, (both are living in Bemidji) Jonathan, Hannah, Paul, Stephen, Josiah, Mary Grace and Isaac are at home still.
We get together every once in a while, which isn't soon enough sometimes! But what fun we have! Families truly are a blessing!

(This is an older picture, we're missing kids Leah and Amber, but I really like this picture!)

Josh's Big Buck!

Hunting Season of 2006 was very successful for my hunter, Josh! He got 7 deer in all! (some party hunting!) We kept three deer for ourself and have been enjoying many fine steaks and ground meat! Josh's prize was his beautiful 8 point buck he shot during archery season this year! It's his biggest deer he's gotten yet! Hunting is big in the Helweg family, first archery season, then rifle season, finally muzzleloader season! Josh loves to hunt, and I love his provision for our family!

The last day of rifle season '06, Dad, Isaac and Josh got my sister Anna and I out to help them "round up" some deer. We each have our permits, it had just been a while since we'd been out! We had a great day out hunting as a family! I ended up seeing a doe, but didn't get a clean shot. My dad however, shot the biggest deer in our family, a huge 8 point buck!

Baking with Auntie!

Leah and Auntie Anna spend time baking cookies together one sunday afternoon at Grandma Parthun's. Leah loves to watch as the batter comes together, then of course, gets to lick the spatula and eat the baked cookies! Anna just loves spending time with her favorite niece!

Our Best Valentine

Our Valentines Day, Josh took his "two sweethearts"( Leah and I) to a special dinner at The Peppercorn in Bemidji. It was such a nice time, and Leah really did good! It was a great Valentines!

Valentines Day is really special to Josh and I because Feb 14 '04 was when Josh and I first started courting!
It's really fun to see how the Day changes over the years...
We were courting one year, engaged the next, married and pregnant one year, now sharing it with Leah!
What a special day for us as a family!

Here is our Valentine Sweetheart... Leah Rose!
This pretty dress was worn by her cousin, Anna last year, and they both are so cute in it!

Leah's First Time "Baking"

Leah and I made chocolate cake a while ago, and she was such a good helper, I let her lick the spatula! Her eyes lit up as I handed it to her, and she immediately put it straight into her mouth! She loved licking it, and of course, got it everywhere... but not before I caught this satisfied/goofy grin!

Upcoming Concert!

My Dad, wonderful guy that he is, gave us "Parthuns" tickets to the Newsboys/Kutless/Stellar Kart concert coming to Grand Forks, ND on March 9th! But even better than that, the seats are 5 rows from the FRONT! I have never been that close to the stage before in any concert! I am so excited! Plus, my sister-in-law Hannah will be coming with us... (we had an extra ticket!) and I am so excited to have her there with us! I love the Newsboys.. I've seen them before.. but I am even more excited for Kutless! I LOVE their music! March 9th is coming fast! YES!

Our Beautiful God-Daughter!

What a fun time we had a few weeks ago visiting our God-Child, Becca Bullington, and her parents, John and Krys.
We had a great time sharing stories and spending time with Becca!
What a bright, sweet 2 1/2 year old she is! Such pretty long red hair, too!
She is such a cutie!
What's neat is that Krys was MY parent's God-Daughter! Krys and I grew up like cousins! It's so special to be her daughter's God-Parents!
